For this week's assignment, you are going to write a personal ad (think eHarmony) about yourself in Spanish. Using the form below, write about yourself, your interests and what you like or don't like. Then, describe the ideal person that you are trying to find, either as a friend or for a date. The paragraph should be entirely in Spanish, should be your own work (no Google Translations or otherwise), and should be a minimum of 100 words (Just as a note, these instructions are about 100 words in length). Pay attention to your present-tense conjugations and ser v. estar. Try to use as much vocabulary as possible, including the transition words from vocab list #3. This is due by Sunday night, September 23, at midnight. Also, if you are not sure how to use accent marks, you can look on the right-hand side of my blog to see the shortcuts.
Also, there is going to be a writing and speaking assessment in class on Tuesday and the vocab quiz in class on Thursday, which will have some present-tense conjugations (including stem-changers) and ser v. estar. To help you prepare for the speaking, you can practice beforehand by clicking on the player below. Click here to see the directions and the outline of the conversation. Remember, this is for practice, but your assessment on Tuesday will look very similar to this. You can also come in for tutorials to practice with me on Monday.
